Is Yeti really worth the money?

Is Yeti really worth the money?

From insulation to their 5 year warranty this is why we really believe Yeti is worth the money you pay for it.

Insulation

Yeti's insulation means that you can take your cooler or flask anywhere and they will keep the contents cool for long periods of time. The Rambler cups have a double wall vacuum insulation which is essentially a cup with in a cup, meaning that it is fully insulated. You may wonder how it can be cleaned if there is a double lining inside the cup but all the Yeti drinks items are dishwasher friendly so no need to worry about any nasty germs. Yeti's double wall insulation means that energy is kept to a minimum therefore no sweat particles will transfer on to the outside of the cup meaning no condensation. As for Yeti Coolboxes, Yeti have used a permafrost insulation as it is the best thermal insulator, it also has a freezer quality cold lock gasket which minimises hot air trying to get into the cooler. A top tip is to use dry ice as it is better for the cooler and will be better for long trips.

Please remember Yeti cool boxes are not fridges so it will not make ice cubes, you have to pre chill your contents first and then it will keep the contents cool when on your camping or outdoor excursions.

Try not to use your cool box straight away when it is first purchased as it needs time to cool, so make sure you pre chill your cooler before you take it on your first trip.

Try to avoid opening the lid unnecessarily as it is important to keep hot air out.

Durability

The Tundra cool box has a rotomolded construction so it is the only cool box that you will really trust and will withstand the test of being bashed and is maximised with the fatwall design which will provide a strong structure. To test this theory Yeti used 800 kg of force which the Tundra was able to hold.

The load out bucket has injection moulding and will hold up to 226kg of weight so will last when on those adventures, perfect for a family bbq or when taking a trip to the sea on a boat. Yeti knows how their products will last as they have a 5 year warranty so no need to worry if your item is faulty or damaged.

The Panga submersible backpack has a thick skin shell that is puncture resistant and will last when being brushed against rocks when out and about hiking. All handles are re in forced so will last when being pulled or tugged at. The metal lock hardware has been tested with 227kg of force. So as you can see Yeti really know how to provide you with the most durable items.

Construction

The Tundra Haul has all the features of the original Tundra but on wheels to make it a lot easier to manoeuvre. The neverflat wheels are made with a solid dense polyurethane making them impact and puncture resistant. It is the same size as the original Tundra but taller meaning you can fit a lot more layers inside.

The Yeti Tumbler cups are made with a thick steel inside the walls and the bottom is made with an extra protective coating. Yeti know that this is where it will be needed the most, in most cups and flasks the bottom is where dents are more likely to occur. When looking at buying a Yeti flask you will notice that they have duracoat, this means it wont crack and will really last.

You will notice that with a lot of other cool boxes they are round but Yeti have designed their coolers to be shaped to maximise space and fit as much as possible in those corners.

The yeti cool boxes have  t-rex lid latches and lid grip handles to make it easy to open.

When looking at Yeti flasks you will notice they have duracoat, this means they have an extra coating that will stop them from cracking and will really last.

Extra Features

The Panga submersible backpack is fully waterproof and has a hydrolock air tight closing zip which means you can drop it in a metres depth of water and it will still keep all your valuables dry.

The Rambler one gallon jug has a magdock cap- chug style spout and includes a magnetic cap so theres no worry of ever losing the cap.

An important tip on how to pack your Yeti cooler to get the most out of it- Once the cool box has been pre cooled you are ready to get packing. First you want to add a layer of Yeti ice or dry ice to the bottom, then add your layer of drinks or whatever you are wanting to take on your trip, then top it off with extra ice, if you have any excess space try and fill it with towels.

As you can see from the information, we really believe that Yeti is worth the money, the products are virtually indestructible, the coolboxes hold ice for a number of days, it is the last cooler you will need to buy and the products have a warrenty of 5 years if you do ever have any problems meaning all their products are definitely made to last. As well as some of the items listed, Yeti provides camping chairsblankets and also some stylish dog beds and bowls for your furry friends, plus much much more.
