Primus Winter Gas is a gas canister with a blend of 80% isobutane and 20% propane, developed for outdoor cooking in cold conditions down to -22 °C. It delivers stable performance even in sub-zero temperatures and is a reliable choice for winter trips and cold-weather cooking.

For cooking in cold temperatures Winter Gas is suitable for winter camping, ski touring and other activities where temperatures drop below freezing. Use it to boil water, cook simple meals or heat food. In cold conditions, pressure drops in conventional gas canisters, making the stove less efficient. Winter Gas is adapted for these conditions and helps your stove run evenly even as temperatures fall.

Efficient gas blend, Vapour Mesh and two sizes The blend of isobutane and propane provides good performance in cold temperatures. The integrated Vapour Mesh – an absorbent material inside the canister – increases the surface area where the fuel can vaporize. This allows the fuel to convert faster from liquid to gas, resulting in higher pressure and a more stable flame in cold conditions. Winter Gas is available in two sizes – 230 g and 450 g – so you can choose the right amount of gas depending on your trip and packing.
