The Ex Police Paraclete Single Curve Level 3 Bullet Proof Plate offers a ballistic protection to the rib and side-flank. 

Size wise these come in at 8 x 6".

These are standalone Nij Level 3, but if worn in conjunction with soft armour, this will increase its rating to a level 4 ballistic rating.

These do fit perfectly in the British Combat Body Armour square pockets.
